His woodworking talent became a business

A couple days a week you'll find BJ Wadsworth in his workshop creating functional pieces of art. His workshop, in the basement of his East Aurora group home is outfitted with all the tools he needs to create beautiful pens, wine toppers, salt & pepper mills as well as other functional gadgets. BJ's father Robert taught him all he needed to know to get started with his hobby that soon grew into a little business. Louise, BJ's mom, says that when they do craft shows one of the most popular pieces her son makes is the ice cream scoop, adding "the are ever popular, we can't keep them in." Lesa VanSon is the group home manager and she says that BJ does all the work himself, and she is just in charge of "Quality Control." Robert points out that it was never his intention for his son to start a business-"I just wanted it to be for fun and to let him know that he has creativity in him and he needs to bring it out and this is one way to do that."
