Georgia-Pacific is closing their Milan corrugated plant

Georgia-Pacific notified the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity on May 6 that it will close the plant at 951 County St. by July 6, and will lay off all employees at the location by July. The decision “ultimately came down to economics and the ability of the facility to be competitive in the long term.
