Opsin/ST6 - Thermal Target Baseline

Initial baseline observations on steel targets through thermal. Ambient is about 50F, and it's just after sunset so the Opsin is still overloading a bit with all the light. The targets were indoors all day, and are at about 57F. The wood behind them is clearly significantly warmer than that. I split the two views so that viewers can see the details on the ST6 take.

This is part of a project to create thermal targets for competition. The standard steel targets are 3/8in AR500 steel, 12x20. The parameters are that the target must be thermally differentiated, and stay differentiated for 16 hours in any weather conditions. The differentiation can be cold or hot, preferably hot. The solution must be resilient to many bullet impacts on the target or any of its components. Ideally the solution would be very inexpensive, as this will need to be applied to many targets (50+) over multiple nights.
