Grace Ascendant

I call, sacred
Your grace, my shield, sacred
And You lift me

I stand firm
Thy love affirmed
We rise above

In the shadow of Your wings, I hide away
From the storms and the trials, I shall not stray
With each breath and each step, Lord, lead the way
As a shepherd protects, You're my strength every day

When the wicked advance, I will not fear
For Your presence is peace, ever so near

In the night when the fears come to steal my calm
I recall Your promises, they are my balm

Surrounded by darkness
Your light remains true
Guiding my pathway
I hold on to You

Lift thine eyes to the mount, whence help will arise
In Your hands, oh Lord, my spirit lies

The enemy surrounds but cannot confound
For my God is king, with glory crowned

Through trials and shadows
Your love holds the throne

Whispers of morning, a new mercy's born
In the silence, Your comfort is sworn

Though a thousand may fall at my side, I'll stand
For in the shelter of God, I'm in His hand

You're the fortress in my trials, my safety from harm
In the clutches of defeat, You're my saving charm

You're the shield 'round my head, my glory, the One
Who lifts up my chin as a father to his son

Cries attend to the Lord, He answers my plea
From His holy hill, in my strife, sets me free

God of my solace, on You I repose
As the sun ceases its climb, and the night finds its close

Under stars hung in silence, my prayers ascend
In Your mercy and might, broken hearts You mend

To the watchful, the weary, a restful reprieve
In Your embrace, O Lord, I faithfully cleave

With faith, unyielding
Promise revealing
