Thousands evacuated in Ukraine as Russian forces advance in Kharkiv region

Russia says it's taken nine villages in its new offensive in the Kharkiv region of northeastern Ukraine.

More than 5,000 people have been moved to safety, as fierce fighting persists for a fourth day in the border area.

The Kharkiv region is home to Ukraine's second-largest city and is important to both sides.
