Charlie Wireman was an outlaw in Kentucky, near the turn of the 20th century. He would fight at the tip of a hat. The law avoided and feared him.

Charlie was born in 1890 in a two-room mountain hut, in a remote section of eastern Kentucky, to very poor parents. There were a total of nine children born to them. From the beginning of his life, he had to have a heart of the jungle. It was kill or be killed. But one day an elderly lady and a traveling evangelist entered into a covenant of prayer to see Bulldog Charlie saved. God convicted Him and He was saved. The transforming power of God chained Bulldog Charlie from a raging outlaw into a powerful Holiness preacher.
