Israel marks Independence Day with subdued celebration

Some traditional state events were canceled or altered on Israel's 76th independence anniversary on Tuesday (May 14) as the war rages in Gaza. President Isaac Herzog and military chief Herzi Halevi held the traditional Independence Day ceremony honoring outstanding soldiers at the president's residence in Jerusalem.
