Pokemon Pure Green - Green Team, Episode 1: It IS Easy Being Green

Okay so this time we're going all the way back to Gen 1, or rather, to one of the best romhacks I've ever played for a Gen 1 game: Pure RBG. Pure Blue and Green are hacks of blue version, Pure Red is of Red version, but they're basically the same thing. This isn't a monotype run, but rather one about color coordination: as long as a Pokemon's in-game sprite is green, I can use it. Granted, in practice this limits me mostly to grass, bug, and poison types, but as you'll soon see, the various QoL changes and rebalances mean this isn't as much of a limiter as you might think.

====
Ruleset:
------------
1) I may only use Pokemon in battle that have a green sprite in-game. HM slaves don't count.

2) No duplicate species allowed (can be temporarily allowed as long as I evolve the duplicate(s) at some point prior to finishing the run).

3) I have to beat the strongest trainer in the game to win.

Obligatory disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon (obviously), but because lawyers are gonna do what lawyers are gonna do, it bears mentioning that Pokemon is the intellectual property of Gamefreak and The Pokemon Company. This is purely for entertainment purposes and is not monetized in any way, and as such is covered under Fair Use.

WARNING: My videos include crude humor and harsh language, they're largely unscripted and unfiltered, and they're not for kids. My intended target audience won't be offended by a little swearing, so I don't want to see any whining from pearl-clutching, deadbeat parents who refuse to take responsibility for what their children are doing online. To quote Mark Twain, "censorship is like telling a man he can't have a steak, just because a baby can't chew it."
