In decades past there has been a great deal of information provided to the public telling us what the good and/or bad “foods” are for us to eat or to avoid. Specifically, fats, sugar, calories, carbohydrates, beef, pork, dairy, and glutenous grains have all been tossed around as good and bad.

All of this information, without understandable explanation, allows for mass confusion and doubt when anyone mentions the benefit of altering their diet. Before you read about the science and reasoning behind the DO NOT EAT list, consider why you should think about what you eat and become more involved in your health care – simply put “YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.” Every second of every minute of each day, your body is working endlessly to balance, repair, duplicate, and filter different components of you, so that you may be alive and well. Without the right nutrients, or with the wrong ‘foods’, your body is less able to do this job well, leading to inflammation and disease.

This Do Not Eat List is a Starter Guide. Avoid these 6 foods and start to change your life and your health. For those with chronic health conditions from pain to autoimmune disease to cancer and Alzheimer’s Disease will likely need to make additional changes with their food to regain their health and vitality.

Dr. Hal Blatman, MD, DAAPM, ABIHM, and Ann Musick, MS, CNS, are available to help you personalize your diet and make the changes that will be the most significant for you.
