The Chinese Social Credit System is in place right now in China. It’s not a theory, it’s not fantasy. It’s in place…RIGHT NOW.
It’s a system of total surveillance, combined with very sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) that monitors everything that people do.
It rewards people for doing things that the government wants them to do, and it PUNISHES people for doing things that the government DOESN’T WANT them to do.
At first thought, some people might think this is good. Good people are rewarded, and bad people are punished. But that is not how it works...
Good people and bad people are defined by the Government. It is not about rewarding people who help old ladies cross the street.
It is about destroying opposition or any propaganda against them. And more than that, with this system, the Chinese government is able to control everyone and make them do exactly what they want them to do.
