Johann Wolfgang von Goethe is considered the most important German literary figure of modern times. He was a poet, playwright, theatre director, novelist, scientist, critic, artist and statesman. To sum up his achievements in a short video is impossible, but, for example, his body of work includes epic and lyric poetry ; prose and verse dramas; memoirs; literary and aesthetic criticism; treatises on botany, anatomy, and colour; and four novels. In addition, numerous literary and scientific fragments, and over 10,000 letters written by him are extant, as are nearly 3,000 drawings. Goethe had the largest private collection of minerals in all of Europe. By the time of his death, he had collected 17,800 rock samples. Goethe also contributed to the planning of Weimar's botanical park and the rebuilding of its Ducal Palace. Gerard Croiset was a gifted Dutch psychic and healer. His mentor, Professor W. H. C. Tenhaeff, called him a "paragnost," a word meaning "beyond knowledge". Placed in foster homes when he was 8, he lived with six different sets of foster parents. His memories of his days in an orphanage were probably the unhappiest of his life. He was unable to keep a steady job, went bankrupt when he tried to run his own grocery store, and in 1935, had a nervous breakdown. After the Nazis occupied Holland in May 1940, the Gestapo arrested him. But the one event that changed Gerard Croiset’s life occurred after the war in 1945 when he met Professor Tenhaeff. Thomas Charles Lethbridge better known as T.C. Lethbridge, was an English archaeologist, investigator of spiritual phenomenon and explorer. He wrote twenty-four books, becoming particularly well known for his explanations and research into dowsing. His archaeological work used a pendulum and Lethbridge discovered many artefacts and sites by dowsing. After graduating at Cambridge university, he became Keeper of Anglo-Saxon Antiquities at the university museum from 1923 to 1957. His adventuring took him to Jan Mayen island in the Arctic Circle, East Greenland and North West Greenland. But Lethbridge resigned from the university museum in 1957, preferring to research the area in which he had become the most interested - the spiritual. Lethbridge came up with a theory which is now known as the Stone Tape theory that memories can be captured and stored like tape recordings in bricks and stones. Professor William Denton (1823-1883) of Wellesley, Massachusetts, was a naturalist, explorer and geologist. His wife was called Elizabeth. William himself was born in West Yorkshire, England. The Dentons as a family were great collectors and lovers of butterflies and they travelled the world as a family collecting them. Perceptions act like a log of everything that happens to us. It is a little like a cine film, but with the addition of all our sensations - smell, taste, sights, sounds, touch and emotions. People who have near death experiences sometimes go through this log, and it is then called a "past life review". They feel as though they have lived their current life again. But there are some people - principally young children - who seem to be able to relive a life that wasn't theirs. Children are able to have these experiences up until the age of four or five. The past lives they remember are often those where the end of life has been unexpected, possibly violent and accompanied by trauma. George Washington was the first President of the United States and the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. He was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States and presided over the convention that drafted the Constitution. During the dark days of the American revolution, George Washington had a spiritual experience of extraordinary potency. It was a vision and prophecy delivered by an angelic figure who showed him pictorially and symbolically what the future would be. The symbolism was quite obscure, as most symbolic prophecies are and shook Washington very visibly. Washington never saw this prophecy roll out to its end.
