According to Bankrate, the Federal Reserve is likely to cut interest rates at least once in 2024, with the largest share of officials expecting three cuts. However, the Fed has indicated that interest rates are likely to stay steady at the end of its next meeting on June 12, 2024. This is because progress on disinflation has largely stalled from January to March 2024. The Fed chief has also said that the U.S. central bank still needs more data to change policy
