The internal battles are real, but everyone has the ability to navigate those temptations that are the main barriers to their goals. The most fundamental skill is self-awareness.

What are your specific triggers that lead you away from your goals? Once you identify those, you can be self-aware of what exactly is or what situations are going to shift you off course. And that awareness makes you WAY more likely to be able to call into action your coping mechanisms to combat those temptations and plan ahead of time how you would want to react. This recognition and action planning significantly decrease deviating from your desired behavior
