In this second episode of Broken Narratives, I have covered one of the interventions that were used during the pandemic to reduce the spread of the virus, which was not just recommended but also mandated all over the world. I am talking about face masks.
I have covered early reporting on masks and their effectiveness against reducing transmission, a sudden shift in recommendation of mask wearing for a healthy population, instructions on how to wear a mask, who should wear it, and inconsistency in recommendations for different age groups in different nations, and finally testimonies from some experts on personal protective equipment (PPE) on the effectiveness of masks against viral transmission.
