NATO taunts Russia with biggest war-games since Cold War

NATO’s largest military exercise since the Cold War saw state-of-the-art attack helicopters deployed in a show of force against Vladimir Putin’s Russia.

British and US troops conducted a land assault in Estonia, supported by Apache AH-64E attack helicopters, marking their debut in NATO exercises.

With explosions simulating battlefield scenarios, over 2,300 soldiers from Estonia, US, Poland, and UK participated in Exercise Swift Response, led by Britain’s 16 Air Assault Brigade Combat Team.

This exercise, part of Exercise Steadfast Defender 24, aims to test NATO’s defense capabilities against near-peer adversaries.

Amid escalating tensions, the UK expelled the Russian defense attaché in response to threats from Moscow, the Daily Mirror has reported.
