Laken Riley was brutally murdered while jogging at the University of Georgia in February. The nursing student was killed by blunt force trauma and asphyxiation in what police are calling a "crime of opportunity.” The man accused of killing Riley was indicted on 10 charges, including murder and tampering with evidence. Dashcam footage shows the now-former Wister Police Chief being arrested after allegedly driving drunk with his kid in the car on April 28. Kurt Morsund claimed he chugged vodka after nearly totaling his vehicle, “I drank the alcohol after I crashed.” The Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper said witnesses claimed he was driving erratically before the crash, hitting guard rails and swerving all over the road. The chief asked the trooper to “help him out,” but he was still arrested for DUI and endangering a child. Morsund has since resigned from the Wister Police Department.

Curtis Jackson, aka 50 Cent, has fired back at his ex and the mother of his child after she claimed he sexually assaulted and abused her during their relationship. Daphne Joy, real name Daphne Narvaez, claimed 50 Cent’s “true evil actions” were raping and physically abusing her. The famed rapper denied all the accusations. A California jury found Bryn Spejcher guilty of involuntary manslaughter for stabbing Chad O'Melia more than 100 times while in a “marijuana-induced psychosis.” A judge sentenced her to probation and community service. Spejcher is appealing her conviction, saying she was tricked by O'Melia into using incredibly high-potency cannabis.
