Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus
Director-General of WHO:

"I would like to thank President Macron and Mr. Frederic
and the Pasteur Institute for hosting us here. It's a matter of now, all of us together, to take advantage of the opportunity to eliminate the meningitis epidemic and I think that's doable. So from Nigeria we will move to Niger and then of course we will focus on the 26 countries and beyond. I am really confident and a very very happy man actually since I started. Of course, the vaccine is what we need to do. We must carry out early diagnosis and treatment. We have to do surveillance and take care of people who need treatment and we have to do pressure activities to mobilize. Preventing preventable diseases and disabilities has now become everyone's business".
