Alan and Jan Masters talk about how many times we let ego and judgement wreak havoc in our lives without acknowledging what we are failing to see. Jan says,”Usually what makes a person feel separated from God is unforgiveness from something in the past that we don’t want to let go of. Whether we haven’t forgiven a person that hurt us or haven’t forgiven ourselves for a mistake we made, until we have forgiven and stopped judging we cannot feel close to God. It is a trap.”
