Skateboarding Kid Crashes Into Bush After Downhill Race

Speeding downhill on a wheeled contraption is one of the most amazing feelings in the world. It is a combination of the wind rushing by you, the thrill of speed and watching the world sprint by you, and that on the edge of control tension, fear and excitement.

Hills and things with wheels are siren songs for little boys to go careening down…

For those of you who read this blog, there were rumors that this video is a setup. Admittedly, this is because of the way the boy lets himself crash and that at the very end of the clip you can hear him say the word, “Cut.” So, we spent some time watching and rewatching the clip. Is it a setup? This particular viewer is inclined to say no. Here is my evidence. One, unlike the girl , the boy never actually has his hands on the board to control it. He lets it go free the whole time. I don’t think he could aim it that well.

Evidence two, either this kid was nervous about the hitting the push for the stunt or was not actually planning on it. I don’t think he wanted to hit the bush. His face, to this viewer, says that he did not want to crash into the bush. Just look at him right before he hits the bush. That is not the face of a setup kid, unless he is a great actor. Could he have tried harder to stop? Very much so. Last piec of evidence, the word cut. I don’t think he is saying “Cut”, I think he is saying, “I’m cut.” Very different. What do you think? Real or fake?
