Church services in North Braddock were interrupted when a man jumped in front of the pastor with a gun in an apparent attempt to shoot him.

This happened at Jesus' Dwelling Place Church on Lobringer Avenue. The church broadcasts its services live and captured the moment a man pulled out a gun and pointed it directly at Pastor Glenn Germany, the gun jamming.

Church members quickly sprang into action as Germany took cover. One man even jumped to tackle the gunman. Eventually, the gunman managed to pull the gun out of the man's hands.

"I just saw something disturbing: a pastor was giving a ceremony in a church and a man pulled a gun and pointed it at him and pulled the trigger," said Cuba Gooding Jr. commenting on the event.

"It didn't fire, thank God! But where are we at? Where is our country at? We need to get back to God. We need our faith back. Believe!" said Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. who finds redemption in the film The Firing Squad.

The character he plays in the film finds redemption in Christ after being a drug-dealer now facing execution in a third world country.

But in real life, Cuba also has found redemption in Jesus and forgiveness in himself towards others and for others.

‘The Firing Squad' will be hitting theaters August 2.
