Man charged with aggravated murder in 15-month-old's death

A man who police said admitted to striking a young girl has been charged with murder. Recardo Woods, 19, remains at the Hamilton County Justice Center after his initial arrest last week on a charge of felonious assault. A grand jury indicted him Tuesday on counts of aggravated murder, murder, two counts of felonious assault and two counts of endangering children. All are felonies. Police say Woods backhanded 15-month-old Kassidy Smith while she and her 3-month-old sister Korri were in his care, and that both were taken to the hospital for treatment.
