Harnwell: Ukrainian MPs Imprisoned For Corruption *Exempted* From Latest Mobilisation Measures!

VIDEO SYNTHESIS / The Ukrainian parliament just passed the second reading of a bill that would allow the mobilisation of convicted felons for active duty.

But in perhaps one of the most brazenly cynical manoeuvres I’ve ever seen — and I thought I’d seen it all — a special carve-out was inserted granting exemptions to “former high-ranking officials” who held “important political positions” and were convicted of “serious corruption”.

That is, politicians just voted to give themselves a little insurance policy — just in case they should ever get caught with their hand in the till — whilst mobilising everyone else for the front line.
