In a telephone conversation with the owner, I asked if Papa's in Weston-super-Mare was in any way connected to Papa's in the North, especially around the East Coast and Yorkshire. He told me that the brothers who originally started Papa's went their separate ways regarding fish and chip shops, and this his, and possibly one other, but he wasn't sure, was not a part of the rest of the Papa's brand and that he was a family-run business.
