I met Chrissie working in the ER and was the nurse assigned to her care. Chrissie recognized me as the nurse whistleblower and today we talked about our encounter and her experience as a patient.

As many of you know I returned to the bedside a couple of months ago after 2.5 years since blowing the whistle. After releasing my protected disclosure I had more than a dozen complaints against my license. I was ordered to complete a formal ethics evaluation in which I was deemed ethical in my disclosure and my license intact.

I thought I would never be able to return to this setting since many of my beliefs don’t match up with allopathic medicine anymore. but as God would have it, this hospital checked all the boxes and I accepted a position.

My heart has always been drawn to being a staunch patient advocate and caring for their mind, body, and spirit regardless of their beliefs. Tune in to witness what patient advocacy, shared decision-making, and informed holistic care look and feel like!
