Streets of Rage Revolution Details Made Public

Sega is the epitome of not knowing what to do with success. The company fought for years trying to get a foothold in gaming and when they did, they went full on stupid. Long before Sonic became a successful movie franchise, he was born on the Sega Genesis, a console released in 1988 in North America. Many point to the development of Sonic as being the reason Sega saw the success they had with Genesis – I would not argue otherwise myself. Another franchise that helped Sega a lot was the Streets of Rage series, also born on the Sega Genesis but forgotten on subsequent consoles. Much like Sonic finding a revival of sorts in theaters, Streets of Rage found a resurgence with Streets of Rage 4 for various platforms. Now Sega is looking to bring the franchise into 3D with Streets of Rage Revolution. Something they started trying to do back on the Sega Saturn in 1996/1997.
