"Sheriffs are coming together to equip and encourage each other while taking on their responsibility to safeguard their communities against a rogue and overreaching government.
One of those sheriffs is Bob Songer, from Klickitat County, Washington, who has set up a “Constitutional Posse” that currently consists of about 150 members. Songer, who started his posse program in 2015, attended the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, and sat down with Alex Newman, a senior editor for The New American magazine.
The Posse program is not a group of vigilantes, Songer explained, but rather a highly trained, limited, community crime watch that takes its security seriously to guard against crime and illegal activity."
