The Blanket, by Floyd Dell "The Blanket", written by "Floyd Dell", Is a short story that revolves around an eleven years old boy, Peter, whose Granddad is being sent away to an old house, by his dad, with a double red and black blanket as a going away gift. Peter cannot believe his father would leave his grand father to a Government place where he would live the rest of his life. At the end Peter plays a trick which leaves every one in tears. Peter's father realises his mistake and apologizes his father.
