Team Rocket is cutting tails off the slowpokes to make money and Kurt is not having it. So we go to the well and save the poor pokemon. Then I go take on the gym and lost to Bugsy, so I had to grind offscreen to win next time. After that, I fight my dickhead rival again before I go catch the runaway farfetch'd in Ilex Forest. Also, Bulbasaur appears at this forest only in the mornings, which is why I got up early to play.

Normally, I would post a link to where I got the game ROM, but I'm going to keep it secret, because I don't want the Nintendo ninjas to kill that website like they did with Emu Paradise. Sorry to say, but you're going to have to find a emulator ROM site on you own.
