Gedruk art or Rampak Buta Dance or Rampak Gedruk Buto Dance is a genre of traditional folk dance performance art in the form of group dance compositions. Etymologically, gedrug means stomping of the feet. Gedrug means one foot stands on the sole of the sole, just behind the heel of the other foot (Clara Brakel-Papenhuyzen, 1991: 124). The Rampak Gedruk Buto dance is performed for 45 minutes and has its own characteristic movements. It's not too complicated, the stomping of the feet and the swing of the hands are unified, depicting the anger of a powerful giant. Attached to the feet of the dancers are dozens of bells that jingle rhythmically in tune with the rhythm of the accompanying drums and gamelan.
