DSP returned to his Magic Run of Elden Ring after wage quitting a year ago and comes back to complete the game again before the DLC. On May 1st, there was a burst, and it was Phil wage quitting Elden Ring a 2nd time by refusing to rematch Radagon before the DLC. I continues my count where part 1 left off. I learned a lot about Vegas Pro since I made the 1st one and I heavily streamlined my editing process so I'm spending a lot less time making these. The editing isn't as robust as part 1 since I went with the 1 cut = 1 death method with no cutaway memes.
Part 1 is when I learned to start using NV Encoder rather than Intel QSV, because most of my videos from before than would randomly have 1 frame in various places turn out messed up, but most people won't notice it and you probably never noticed it , but I did and it took me far too long to figure out just switching encoders was the fix. I don't like how much slower NV is, but I just do my own thing when rendering, so it worth it to me to not have 1 frame errors appear in my videos. I also learned that the limiter is called Audio Wave Hammer in Vegas, which saves me time fixing DSP's awful audio mixing.
I streamlined even further since I started using OBS to count deaths using a counting website where a press space to count up as a source which I started using for TiHYDP 225 which has over 800 fails, and I came up with a more efficient way of counting, and I use that method for this one. I had Vegas as one source, & the counter as an other and counted at 4x speed and just pressed space as I saw a death while listening to youtube videos & music (I set the render back in Vegas at x4 slow down to match).
I still use Vegas to render, as zooming in isn't true 1080p. A more efficient way I could of used is get a 2nd monitor to either full screen at full resolution with no zooming in Vegas or the video pre-rendered on VLC then put it in OBS or green screen. I take the pixelated video anyways and zoom it & resize with a green screen background but black screen behind the number it since Vegas crashes on me when rendering if I have 2 or more 1080p video sources at once that have a lot happening in the footage.
I plan on combining part 1, 2, & the DLC when the DLC playthrough is finished. I'll release the TiHYDP Elden Ring as it's own video first but continue the count from where this video ended. The combined cut will trim out all the cutaway gags and the salty victories and a few other cits to keep the runtime shorter, but I'll keep the original part 1 cut up.
