⚠️New city St. George holds first public meeting following state’s Supreme Court ruling that the city could split off and form their own city with its own leadership and schools.

It covers 60sq miles in the southeast area of Baton Rogue Parish and has 86,000 residents. They want less crime and better schools, and says Baton Rouge is poorly run.

While many are trying to base this split as segregation to cater to the “White Wealthy class” it is more about building a better community for future generations. (Raven)
