Oman in a Glass: Omani Orange & Carrot Sunshine Smoothie
This vibrant and refreshing smoothie captures the essence of Oman with its sweet oranges, earthy carrots, and a touch of warming ginger. It's a healthy and delicious way to start your day!
Ingredients:
• 2 large Omani oranges, peeled and segmented (remove any seeds)
• 1 large carrot, peeled and chopped
• 1 ripe banana, frozen (for a thicker texture)
• 1 cup plain yogurt (or plant-based yogurt)
• 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
• 1/4 cup water (optional, adjust for desired consistency)
• Fresh mint sprig (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Prep the Ingredients: This step is crucial for a smooth blending experience. Peel and segment the oranges, removing any seeds. Chop the carrot into small pieces. Freeze the banana for at least 2 hours for a thicker smoothie.
2. Combine in Blender: Add the orange segments, chopped carrot, frozen banana, yogurt, ground ginger, and water (if using) to a blender.
3. Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high speed for 30-60 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add more water a tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
4. Serve and Enjoy: Pour the smoothie into a chilled glass and garnish with a fresh mint sprig.
