Society Controlled or Free? - 11th April 2024: Scott McCollough
This event was held at the Emmanuel Centre near Westminster in London on the 11th April 2024. It was organised by Katherine Armitage of ACHES and Nicholas Martin, who hosted a variety of speakers. I didn't record all the speakers as I left before the end. In this part, Scott McCollough talks about the issues with modern technology, the implications for freedom of near constant surveillance and the impact on health of the radiation emitted by these devices and the infrastructure that enables them to function.

On the recent legal victory in California:
"McCollough — lead litigator for CHD’s Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) & Wireless cases, added: “There is much more to be done, and we work on it every day, but this is a significant step in the right direction.”"

Radio-frequency identification (RFID) uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects. An RFID system consists of a tiny radio transponder called a tag, a radio receiver, and a transmitter. When triggered by an electromagnetic interrogation pulse from a nearby RFID reader device, the tag transmits digital data, usually an identifying inventory number, back to the reader. This number can be used to track inventory goods....
Since RFID tags can be attached to physical money, clothing, and possessions, or implanted in animals and people, the possibility of reading personally-linked information without consent has raised serious privacy concerns."
