Accidental Science and da "Accidents"

Unintended consequences of our actions can be a disaster. What if we have "purposeful" intended consequences. Could that be even more disastrous?
Here is a story of my unintended, accidental "croaking" of many tadpoles. I knew the risk was there. But, for the "normal" springtime rains that didn't appear, the overall project was a success. Are "WE" da tad poles? Are we da "Subject" to da intended outcomes? What do YOU think? Are You a "people snack" or a "Snacking People"?
