The country with the most pyramids is Sudan. While Egypt is renowned for its iconic pyramids, particularly those at Giza, Sudan is home to more than 200 pyramids, primarily located in the ancient kingdom of Kush. These Sudanese pyramids, built between the 8th century BCE and the 4th century CE, are smaller and steeper than their Egyptian counterparts but are equally impressive in their architectural significance and historical importance. The largest and most famous cluster of Sudanese pyramids can be found at the archaeological site of Meroe.
