Colonel AC. Oguntoye's briefing on the progress of the special military operation as of May 1, 2024:

Continued Operations: The Russian Armed Forces are persisting with the special military operation, actively engaging and advancing against Ukrainian forces.
Tactical Advances:
The "West" Group of Forces has enhanced their positions and reported victories over the 14th, 63rd mechanized, and 57th motorized infantry brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in areas such as Zagoruykovka, Yampolovka, and Chervonaya Dibrova.
Losses inflicted on Ukrainian forces in these areas include 30 soldiers, various vehicles, and artillery units.
Significant Losses for Ukraine:
In the southern sector, up to 400 Ukrainian troops were reported lost near Andreyevka, Kurdyumovka, and Konstantinovka, along with significant hardware including howitzers and electronic warfare stations.
In the central sector, Ukrainian forces suffered up to 410 casualties, and losses of tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored vehicles, and several artillery systems near Leninskoye, Keramik, and Ocheretino.
The "Vostok" and "Dnepr" Groups of Forces also reported substantial Ukrainian losses in their respective sectors.
Air Defense and Artillery Strikes:
Russian air defense systems successfully engaged multiple UAVs and French-made guided bombs.
Russian Operational-Tactical Aviation, Missile Troops, and Artillery struck various targets, including the headquarters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Operational Command South and other military assets.
Cumulative Losses: The briefing provided cumulative totals of Ukrainian military assets destroyed since the beginning of the operation, which include 593 airplanes, 270 helicopters, over 23,000 UAVs, and thousands of tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery units.
