Air-check: Len Labbs, Pittsburgh's WMYG, Magic Y-97, May 25, 1986

Was just one of those nights, where I decided to toss a cassette tape in and record a station. I was really into 97-FM in Pittsburgh, for many years. I tried, (unsuccessfully), to get hired on there, on several occasions. I do believe things work out the way they are supposed to. At this point in time, the studios were in a dilapidated building in the Braddock area of the city. Not exactly a safe neighborhood, and the building, well, let's just say, it was a rat hole. (And it really was, it had rats). LOL But they had some great on air folks. This is Len Labbs, who I met, once. Nice guy. He was a perfect fit for Magic 97's format. I hope you enjoy this piece of Pittsburgh radio history.
