Pokemon Kanto Complete - Shiny Fire Monotype, Episode 7: Tunnel Vision

In this episode, I make my way through Rock Tunnel and over to Celadon City.

Ruleset:
-------------
1) If I decide not to hack in a starter of the desired type, my normal starter may be used in battle until a pokemon of the relevant type is captured. The first pokemon of the run must be captured prior to fighting the first Gym Leader. Obviously, this means that for some teams I may have to cheat, but I prefer to keep that to a minimum, and if I must do this, then I'll attempt to limit myself appropriately. Of course, if my starter is of the correct type for the given monotype run, this does not apply.

2) A pokemon that is not of the monotype's chosen type is valid to use provided I evolve it prior to entering the Hall of Fame, or complete whatever post-game portion there is in a given game. For example, let's say I want to do an electric monotype run, I'm allowed to use an Eevee provided that I use a Thunder Stone to evolve it prior to beating the game.

3) No duplicate species on the team by the end. I may have, say, three Machops at one point on a fighting monotype type, but by the Hall of Fame I must have evolved one of them into Machoke and the other into Machamp if I want to keep all three on the team.

4) No more than two legendaries are permitted on the team, preferably no more than one, ideally none. Sometimes my options are limited enough that I may end up using, say, Regice on an ice monotype run.

5) Obviously, HM slaves and the like are permitted, I just can't use them in battle. If I have no choice, then I may only use non-damaging moves until I inevitably lose, or I'll just reset to before the battle depending on what happens and when I last saved.

ADDITIONAL RULE: I can only use shiny pokemon in battles. Non-shiny pokemon may be used for other purposes (i.e. HM Slaves, Pickup etc.)

=======
Obligatory disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon (obviously), but because lawyers are gonna do what lawyers are gonna do, it bears mentioning that Pokemon is the intellectual property of Gamefreak and The Pokemon Company. This is purely for entertainment purposes and is not monetized in any way, and as such is covered under Fair Use (not that the copyright claim bots care).

WARNING: My videos include crude humor and harsh language. They're largely unscripted and unfiltered, and they're not for little kids. My intended target audience won't be offended by a little swearing, so I don't want to see any whining from pearl-clutching, deadbeat parents who refuse to take responsibility for what their children are doing online. To quote Mark Twain, "censorship is like telling a man he can't have a steak just because a baby can't chew it."
