Today is a reunion day for this hedgehog family, who are living separately at different homes. Papa and his three brothers are so happy and adorably cling to each other, going round and round. Check out those shark outfits!

“A part is a party, but a masquerade party…” said poor Mister Collins to Emma once in the eponymous Jane Austen novel and he couldn’t have been more right! There is nothing that says “fun” like a masked ball! The four siblings were so stoked to finally see each other again, but nature demands that they sniff each other out before they can really get the party started!

Their owner has fitted them all with those adorable shark hats, but we are not fooled. How can something so cute and adorable be vicious? Come on! They might be covered in those prickly spines, but when they recognize their mother figure, they relax and flatten them down, making them super awesome to pet!

They might be really cool looking and you think they will make a great pet, but unfortunately, there are some states that have banned keeping hedgehogs as domestic pets. These states include Georgia, California, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and the five boroughs of New York City.

The reason why they are banned is pretty logical actually. According to wildlife experts, hedgehogs could negatively impact local ecosystems if released into the wild because they’d compete for food and habitat with native species. Hedgehogs also present a health risk to pet owners because they can carry foot-and-mouth disease, as well as salmonella.
