Man identified in Naples donation bin theft

A Naples man, caught on camera stealing items out of a donation bin has been arrested, according to a Collier County Sheriff's Office report. Over the last several weeks, the Nearly New Thrift and Consignment store in Naples has noticed a difference in the amount of items in their donation trailer. The owner of the store placed a hidden camera inside the bin and captured a man crawling inside the trailer's donation slot, and entering the trailer and taking off with items, according to a CCSO report. Deputies received calls on Saturday that the man was seen entering the woods near Terrace St and Shadowlawn Sr. Deputies responded to the wooded area and located 50-year-old Arthur Ashley, who matched the subject caught on the hidden camera. He was arrested and charged with Burglary and Petit Theft.
