This is because medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, and mood stabilizers may be used to treat the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) instead of treating the underlying causes. Patients who continue to take these types of medications for a long period of time will eventually develop side effects that will make them feel worse than before they started taking them.
