Das Alotta Whitefish ᐠ( ᐛ )ᐟ Charter Fishing Oxnard, CA

In this video, Amber and I go on a charter boat fishing trip on a Charter boat in Oxnard, CA! We caught so many ocean whitefish! :D We also caught some blue rockfish, copper rockfish, starry rockfish, sharpnose seaperch, California sculpin, and pacific mackerel, but we mainly caught a lot of ocean whitefish. Some people on the boat also caught some nice-sized California Sheepshead as well! They put a really fun fight, had a really fun amazing day charter boat fishing. Remember, good ole reliable shrimp always saves the day! Charter boats are a great next step event after you've gotten into fishing, it's usually good catches, and catches back to back.

07:53 A deckhand handed me his rod while helping Amber re-rig, and I got tackled right away. A nice solid copper rockfish, I didn't have a good footage shot of him, you can see him at the end when I ice them.

#firstfishfreedom is a tradition that I started a while back. The basis for this tradition is to release the first fish you catch, regardless of what it is (prized, PB, good eats, maybe even world record someday haha). I will only keep the first fish if it is gravely wounded or gut shotted (and a species I can legally keep). If I keep the first fish, then I will pass on the tradition to the second fish, and so forth. Any day of fishing is a blessing, catching a fish and beating the skunk is another blessing on top of that, so I want to return that blessing and luck back to the fish, so they may live another day, get bigger, and maybe I catch them again in the future c:
