Did I Break the Crafter in #minecraft? Please Help? #shorts

Both the crafter from last time and the lectern output a signal strength of 9...why aren't they interchangeable? I'll be updating everyone on what I find as I investigate further.... in the meantime, I've just put the second crafter into the #redstone circuit. You can see the whole deal in my latest video:
