The Crusher - Ep. 21 - Guest Dave Schulz - Working Musician in the Digital Age

Whether playing non-stop with a variety of great musicians or solo, keyboardist, singer, and songwriter Dave Schulz grinds as hard as anyone in the music business. Host Josh Brewster leads Dave in a discussion beginning with his early days in Buffalo with his very funky band, C.O. Jones, then joining the biggest Goo Goo Dolls tour ever, where he plays for huge crowds (and beats Keith Richards and Ron Wood at pool). As the years unfold, he plays with Berlin, Wang Chung, Fastball, Bernard Fowler, Tony Levin, Cherie Currie, Lindsay Buckingham, Jerry Casale and many others to this day. We discuss the commitment it takes to work continuously in the digital age. An impressive musician, Dave, his father Robert, his brother, grammy-winning percussionist Robert Jr., and sister Gretchen were inducted to the Buffalo Musicians Hall of Fame in 2008.
