Flooding in Tanzania has resulted in 155 fatalities and at least 236 injuries, with over 10,000 houses damaged and over 200,000 people affected, according to Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa.

The flooding, attributed to heavy El Nino rains and accompanying strong winds, has caused extensive damage to crops, homes, infrastructure, and claimed lives.

The adverse effects have also extended to neighboring Kenya, where heavy rains since mid-March have led to mass flooding, affecting around 103,500 people and resulting in at least 32 deaths, CNN reported.
