Weinstein wasn't alone in the sexual exploitation of vulnerable women.
American actress Theresa Russell said she was sexually propositioned by film producer, Sam Spiegel during her first casting session for the 1976 film The Last Tycoon.
In an interview, she recalled: "I was 16 years old and still living at home, and he took me to the Bistro and tried to stick his tongue down my throat."
After she refused to sign a contract with Spiegel, Russell "was completely left out of the publicity for The Last Tycoon, and Spiegel threatened that he would prevent Russell from working ever again in Hollywood.

On March 10, 1977, 43-year-old film director Roman Polanski was arrested and charged in Los Angeles with six offenses against Samantha Gailey (now Geimer), then a 13-year-old girl: unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, rape by use of drugs, perversion, sodomy, a lewd and lascivious act upon a child under the age of 14, and furnishing a controlled substance to a minor.
