According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, traces of the bird flu virus, which has affected dairy cows, were found in samples of pasteurized milk.

However, the FDA emphasized that these remnants do not pose a risk to consumers. The agency assured that they are actively investigating the matter. They stated, "As of now, we have not observed anything that would alter our belief that the commercial milk supply remains safe."

This announcement follows the discovery of avian influenza in dairy cows across eight states, nearly a month ago, which has impacted 33 herds according to the Agriculture Department (USDA).

The FDA did not disclose the number or origins of the samples tested but mentioned that they have been assessing milk from processing facilities and grocery stores. Further test results are anticipated in the coming days to weeks.

The FDA may or may not be a good idea.
