Poland: We’re ready to host nuclear weapons

Polish President Andrzej Duda has announced Poland’s preparedness to potentially host nuclear weapons on its soil if NATO opts to bolster its eastern flank in light of escalating tensions with Russia.

Duda cited Russia’s growing militarization of the Kaliningrad region and alleged relocation of nuclear armaments to Belarus as significant factors driving Poland’s willingness to participate in nuclear sharing arrangements.

The President disclosed that discussions regarding nuclear sharing have been ongoing between Poland and the United States for some time, indicating a proactive approach to addressing regional security concerns.

Additionally, Duda spoke favorably about his recent meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump, underscoring their longstanding friendship and mutual respect, Politico reported.
