Protesters rallied outside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence during the Passover holiday, condemning his handling of the hostage crisis involving Israelis held by Palestinian militants since October.

The demonstration, held in Caesarea, saw hundreds of participants expressing frustration over the fate of the captives.

Israeli authorities confirmed 129 individuals still detained, with 34 believed to have died in captivity.

The hostage situation has cast a somber shadow over Passover, a commemoration of Jewish liberation from slavery in Egypt.

Among the demonstrators were relatives of the hostages, who voiced anguish and disappointment over Netanyahu’s leadership, Barron’s reported.
