Hey, y'all!
Here is the part in which we finish Alyce's shift or smock. The shift, with a few variations under a few different names, was the quintessential and ubiquitous undergarment for men and women throughout most of the Western world's known history. In women's dress, it wouldn't see a decline in use until the creation of combinations in the 1870s. I'm very proud of my first piece of historic garb, and I'm excited to share the rest of this journey with you!
